DANCE CAMP

For those youth completing grades 5-9

Dance is a way of lifting our praise to God through using our bodies and movement, celebrating God’s presence among us. Different styles of dance will be explored and performed at both the talent show and on Saturday morning for parents and friends.

SENIOR COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING (CIT)

For those youth completing grades 10-12

Offers hands-on leadership training and experience, and is designed to build on the interest and desire of those who look forward to becoming a member of the Summer Service Team one day. Participants must submit a letter of reference from their pastor. Those who satisfactorily complete CIT camp may have the opportunity to serve as volunteer counselors at some point during the remainder of the summer, gaining additional experience in preparation for future service.

ADVENTURE HIKING

For those youth completing grades 6-9

Campers will explore the numerous hiking trails around Hartman Center as they venture out on day hikes through the beautiful mountains of Central PA. Exploring God’s creation as you walk down a tree lined road with a mountain stream running next to you and deer watching from behind clusters of trees – that’s the type of adventure you will have along with all the other camp experiences. This year you will experience a GPS scavenger hunt and even an over night hike.

SPORTS CAMPS

For those youth completing grades 7-12

Designed for those campers interested in more activities calling for skills and abilities in sports such as football, basketball, softball, volleyball, running, etc. Bible study and fellowship combine to make this a unique blend of the physical and spiritual – body, mind, and spirit.

SOCCER CAMP

For those youth completing grades 6-8

Designed for those youth interested in learning and/or improving soccer skills and techniques. Bible study and fellowship combine to make this a unique blend of the physical and spiritual – body, mind and spirit.

SWIMMING CAMP

CSI MILROY CAMP

For those youth completing grades 6-8

The fascinating world of forensic medicine comes to Hartman Center! Campers will explore a variety of activities associated with investigating mysteries that pop up in our everyday world. The week ends with a mystery that campers will use their new skills to try and solve.

C.A.P.S. (CRAFTS-ART-PHOTOGRAPHY-SKETCHING)

For those youth completing grades 6-8

Designed for the camper who is or who would like to be creative! We will use parts of creation and our minds and talents to make creations of our own. A mixture of all forms of art round out the activities for this event. No special talents required, just a desire to try new things and have fun. Hiking, games, Bible study, and the other activities of camp life are also included.

GOLF CAMP

For those youth completing grades 7-11

With the ever increasing popularity of golf, and with several inquiries about this type of camp, we are again offering a golf camp. This camp will include the normal camping experience of Hartman Center but will also be looking at the game of golf and how it can be a spiritual experience and a life long learning experience. Instruction will be a part of the camp but you will need your own set of clubs. Different aspects of golf will be explored and the week will culminate with at least one outing at a local course. This camp also has the possibility of Parents coming along with their child. Check with Director for more info!!
