4th of July Weekend Community Adventure
|
|

Here’s an opportunity for all God’s people: ages 0-99 – small groups, couples, individuals and families!
Enjoy these days relaxing in the beauty of nature with options for many activities: daily Bible study, spiritual practices, and learning something new. We will have crafts, games, swimming, perhaps even some offsite trips. You can bring your own camper or tent (we have water & electric hook-ups); stay in one of our cabins, Michaux Lodge; or the Stone House.
There will also be fireworks for the 4th of July! This year camp runs from Wednesday through Sunday, concluding with worship on Sunday morning. There are family maximums for this camp: $700 for one of our buildings; $450 for a campsite.
On you registration form please put what building you would like to be housed in: Michaux Lodge, Stone House or a Cabin. |

For those youth completing grades 6-9
“Where is the Hobbit who was eager to know what lies behind the next hill?” asks Gandalf Bilbo. “Hop-it” and join in an Unexpected Journey with Matthias and Stefanie Hasenbrink and share the love of exploring and of being out and about together in God’s creation. We might make unexpected discoveries about ourselves, about others, and about God.
You don’t have to know the movie to participate – this camp will fill you in and you will become a part of a hobbit’s exciting and sometimes unexpected journey. |

For those youth completing grades 9-12
Nothing is more fun than heading to the beach! So have a blast at church camp this summer in the surf, and the sand, and the Son, all at the HC Beach Bash. Each day this week we'll visit a different beach, play some games, learn about God, and make lasting friendships.
The week will end with a big splash...a luau Hartman Center style! See you there. Aloha. |

is a camping opportunity that brings together the worlds of Narnia, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Hartman Center. Campers with no reading experience with these books to campers with a great deal of experience with the literature of these authors will find value in this camp experience.
Come and experience the typical camp activities of Hartman Center while discovering God in the themes, the examples of friendship and community that these great books and authors have created and express in their literature. |

For those youth completing grades 7-9 Back by popular demand!
This camp is unique in that some of the activities you will be doing happen when the rest of the camp is sound asleep, but this is when many things happen in the forest. Many times when we sleep, God’s creatures wake up. Come and explore to see who and what is awake when it gets dark out. Mom’s and Dad’s don’t worry, this kind of experience calls for some mid-day naps!
Join us as we expand our knowledge of God’s creation! |

Spiritual Practices for Women

|

For those completing grade 10-Adult
A wonderful team of women will be coordinating this exciting week – Sue D’heedene, Betsy Bruaw, Winnie Kowalik and Deb Frailey – which will consist of a little of everything! A little yoga, some hiking, some knitting, some journaling, enjoying time at the pool, maybe do a little cooking (very little!), and just being in God’s creation and enjoying camping at its best.
Bring a friend and enjoy a week of relaxation. |

The Carpenter's Apprentice
|
|

Our FIRST attempt at offering a camping experience for just men!
This camp will be a combination WORK camp experience, taking on projects planned and supervised by our Maintenance Coordinator John Freed (there are always things to work on at Hartman Center), and a retreat where will be using a curriculum called “The Carpenter’s Apprentice” to talk about and understand issues from a man’s perspective.
We will still have time for relaxation and maybe even a trip to a local golf course or a canoe excursion down the Juniata River. |
